Mojoca website redesign with responsive design, on mobile, tablet and laptop.

The client

Belgian Mojoca Friendship Network is a support network for street children in Guatemala City.

Briefing

The Mojoca.be website recently got redesigned completely, in line with its message and missions.

Why Mojoca.be needed a redesign?

The old version of the Mojoca site suffered from a number of limitations:

  • Long loading times
  • Lack of legibility on mobile
  • Complex and outdated navigation
  • Obsolete visual identity
  • Digital accessibility and indexing problems

These shortcomings were harming the organisation’s visibility and limiting its conversion and donation collection potential.

Steps

1. UX analysis

Before taking any action, we conducted a user journey audit to understand visitors’ expectations and behaviour. This enabled us to:

  • Identify the obstacles to navigation
  • Identify priority content
  • Optimise information structure

2. Graphic redesign and visual identity

The new design is based on modern visual codes:

  • Developing the colour palette, in harmony with the values of the organisation
  • Use legible, professional typefaces
  • Placing customised icons and visuals to illustrate the social mission of the project
  • Clearly prioritise content, making it easier to read and to rank.

The redesign of the Mojoca.be website’s visual identity strengthens its credibility and appeal to donors, partners and volunteers.

3. Optimised technical development

We implemented tailored web development focused on performance:

  • Secure, scalable WordPress CMS
  • Clean, lean code that respects SEO practices
  • Mobile compatibility (Responsive Design)
  • Optimised loading times (cache, lazy loading, image compression)

The site is now fast, secure and scalable, ready to adapt to Mojoca’s future needs.

Key features of the new site

1. Simplified donation system

One of the major objectives of the redesign was to increase online donations. To achieve this, we :

  • Integrated a fluid and secure payment gateway
  • Simplified the donation process to 3 clicks
  • Highlighted the causes we support via calls to action

2. Dynamic, SEO-ready blog

We added a blog to enable Mojoca to regularly share its local actions, including SEO-friendly writing with structured tags (Hn, meta titles, alt).

The blog becomes a key instrument for natural positioning and building visitor loyalty.

3. Inspiring stories and testimonials

The young people who have been supported have had their say, with some powerful testimonials highlighted:

  • Text + video format
  • Immersive and authentic presentation
  • Page dedicated to the human impact of donations

These sections create an emotional bond with visitors and encourage engagement.

4. Section for volunteers and partners

An area has been specially designed to

  • Make it easier for volunteers to register
  • Provide downloadable resources
  • Give visibility to committed partners

We have taken great care to design these sections to maximise interaction.

SEO optimisation

The redesign of Mojoca.be was designed with an integrated SEO strategy, covering :

  • Technical SEO audit: crawling, indexing
  • On-page optimisation: H1-H6 markup, internal linking, meta tags
  • URL structuring: clear and descriptive
  • XML Sitemap and robots.txt configured
  • Schema.org to enhance search engine results

We also integrated Google Analytics 4 for performance monitoring.
